SpiritVale Beginner Guide - Your First Hours in Nevaris
Everything a new SpiritVale player needs: picking a base class, early leveling routes from Sunny Meadows onward, gear upgrades, and your first world boss.
Welcome to SpiritVale. This guide walks you through your opening hours in the world of Nevaris — from picking a base class in Wayfarer’s Landing to farming your first gear upgrades.
Pick your base class
You start as one of seven base classes. Each unlocks a unique skill tree and, later, an advanced specialization:
- Warrior — melee bruiser, forgiving and strong early. Advanced: Berserker.
- Knight — shield tank with party utility. Advanced: Paladin.
- Mage — ranged elemental damage, squishy but bursty. Advanced: Weaver.
- Rogue — fast melee, positional damage. Advanced: Shinobi.
- Scout — ranged physical, mobile and safe. Advanced: Windrunner.
- Acolyte — healer and holy damage. Advanced: Priest.
- Summoner — pets and damage over time. Advanced: Necromancer.
If you are unsure, pick Warrior or Scout — both level comfortably with basic gear.
Leveling route: levels 1-50
Follow the zone ladder by monster level rather than the story quests alone:
- Sunny Meadows (1-10) — passive, low-damage mobs. Stay until your basic attack skill is rank 3.
- Forest Field (11-20) — first aggressive mobs; learn to kite as Mage or Scout.
- Bunny Woods (21-25) — dense packs, great AoE experience.
- Lake Field and Mystic Lake (26-40) — water-element monsters; bring a fire weapon if you have one.
- Goblin Field to Goblin Village (41-50) — first real gear checks. Goblin Brutes drop solid mid-tier weapons.
The rule of thumb: leave a zone when mobs stop giving meaningful XP (roughly 10 levels above your character level).
Your first gear upgrades
Early drops matter more than perfect stats. Prioritize:
- Weapon — the biggest damage jump at every stage.
- Body armor — cuts sustain costs while grinding.
- Accessories — keep whatever drops with your main stat.
Check the monster drop tables on each monster page to farm a specific upgrade, and the Equipment list to compare candidates side by side.
Elements matter
Every monster has an element (Neutral, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Poison, Holy, Shadow, Undead). Damage is modified by the element pairing — for example, Fire attacks into Wind monsters hit harder, while Fire into Water is weakened. Skim the element reference on any monster page before a tough fight.
First world boss
Around level 45-50, group up for the Goblin Village chief. He telegraphs a wide cleave — sidestep behind him during the wind-up. He drops one of the earliest epic weapons, so it is worth repeating on cooldown.
What is next
- Use the Build Planner to map your gear progression.
- Read the Skills pages to plan your point spending before you spend it.
- When you reach level 76, the Sanctum of Light zones open a much harder tier of content.
